Child Welfare SA- Port Shepstone (CWPS) is a public benefit organization dedicated to protecting and nurturing children within
their families units in over 24 predominantly rural areas.
Our Mission is to – Promote, investigate and provide suitable care for children in need, Promote early child-hood development, -Promote wider community participation in child and family welfare services, – Ensure the best interest of children is paramount at all times.

WE OFFER
Foster care Services – recruitment, screening and training of foster parents and the supervision and monitoring of subsequent foster care placements.
Statutory services – advising on and acting in accordance with legislative governance as determined in the Children’s Act, No. 38 of 2005.
Counselling – risk and psychosocial assessments, therapeutic interventions, family and victim support.
Community and Skills development – empowering individuals to become self-sufficient.
Awareness and educational programs – advocating the advancement of children’s rights.
Poverty Alleviation (social relief) – subject to availability.
